Overview of Recreational & Speciality Courses
Discover Scuba Diving is a half day introduction to Scuba Diving. You do not need any previous experience whatsoever. It is not a certification but a fun way to try out diving. You receive a brief overview of the theory of diving, a few exercises in shallow water, followed by a wonderful dive on a reef.
The PADI Open Water certification ( 4 days) is a full diving certification, valid for life and recognized world wide. The course includes a review of diving theory, confined open water dives and four open water dives. The theory teaches you the important information to enable you to dive safely and enjoyably, the Confined Water Dives teaches you the necessary skills, in shallow water, so you will feel safe and confident, and the Open Water dives allows you to put everything into practice, and practice the skills you learnt in confined water and enjoy tours of the pristine reef here in Dominica.
Prefer not to spend time in the class room when on vacation, then consider signing up for the PADI elearning program and complete the knowledge development portions of the PADI Open Water Diver Course online. Once you have completed the course, print off your eLearning record and we can begin with the confined and open water portion of your certification.
Cabrits Dive Centre is also happy to take Open Water Referrals from local dive centres. Once you have completed the theory and your confined dives, contact Cabrits Dive Centre for the open water portion of your certification.
