Halloween Pumpkin Carving Sunset/Night
Dive - 30th October, 2005 A fun filled
double tank dive on Halloween. On
the Sunset dive, the teams were given pumpkins to (carefully)
carve into whatever shape they liked. We then took the pumpkins
to our Wreck for the night dive. We gave each buddy team
a glow-stick to put in the pumpkins so we could see the spooky
shapes. The night dive was amazing...great pumpkins, astounding
bio-luminescense and great critters everywhere. We were also
lucky enough to have a stunning sunset during our surfacr
interval. Be sure to check out the photos.
Congratulations to Rel, Leah, Jonathon, ROb and Kelly who all carved magnificant
pumpkins...
Trip to Scott's Head - 15th October,
2005
A wonderful day was had by all on this special trip to dive
the wall at Scott's Head. Having met at the diveshop early
on Saturday morning, the group enjoyed a comfortable drive
down to Scott's Head, where the tanks and equipment were
waiting for them. Two fantastic shore dives were taken along
the Scott's Head Drop-Off. Fresh coconut water, tea and scones
were eaten in the surface interval, and a delicious lunch
was served after the two dives.
Johnathon, Evin, Drew, Leah, Gnundella, Robert, Xavier, Rel,
Rob, Kelly, Mike, Katie, Daniel all had a fabulous time..
International Reef Cleanup Day
- 25th September, 2005
Cabrits Dive Centre, together with a wonderful volunteer group
from Ross Medical School, both students and professors, got
together to go and cleanup under the Cabrits Cruise Ship
Dock. This beautiful site, where we regularily get Batfish,
Seahorses, Flying Gurnards and many other rare critters,
is a favorite divesite for our diveshop. Perfect for both
students and certified divers.
As it's a dock, rather alot of rubbish gets discarded. This
year we found huge tyres, massive marine batteries, cables,
bags of cement, plastic tubing and huge amounts of fishing
line.
Many thanks to Derek, Lisa, Chris, Ben, Mike, Dr Woods, Constantine,
Lucas, Adam and Zaid for giving up their time to help
